Terra Sonalis
Terra Sonalis explores Carl Jung's concept of archetypes through a series of symbolic portraits inspired by dreams and the collective unconscious. The project translates universal psychological patterns into surreal visual compositions, inviting viewers to discover their own meanings within them. Originally presented as a solo exhibition, it examines the shared symbolic language that exists beneath individual experience.
Terra Sonalis is based on Carl Jung's theory of the twelve universal archetypes—fundamental psychological patterns that shape human behavior and perception. The series consists of twelve symbolic compositions: eleven still images and one animated work, each representing an archetype through metaphor rather than literal illustration. By combining dreamlike imagery with minimal color and abstract symbolism, I aimed to create works that function as psychological mirrors rather than narratives. The complete series was presented as a solo exhibition at GAK Plama in Gdańsk, allowing visitors to move through an imagined landscape of the collective unconscious and interpret each archetype through their own experiences.
